Eco-conference in Bratislava

When I heard that Planet Lover was organizing another conference, I didn’t hesitate for a second and signed up right away. Just like two years ago in Žilina, this year in Bratislava I enjoyed it very much and learned a lot of new information. Several speakers took turns behind the microphone, each from a different area and each an expert in his field. First Zuzka Madajová told us about food waste and especially about how not to create it, then chemist Katarína Hrivňáková explained that some products for washing dishes, furniture… Before the first panel discussion we had a positive example from practice – EKOrezort Vendelín and Ekoraj Ďurďová. I’ll admit I didn’t know about these places before, but I’ll definitely go check them out sometime :).

After a break during which vegan sandwiches were served (one of the things I really like about Planet Lover events is that as a vegetarian I never have to worry about not being able to eat something), Nina Erneker told us how to make the event as organic as possible and whether it’s actually possible, Alexandra Madrová gave a lecture about ecological myths that uninitiated people often believe and what the truth really is, and finally Caffe4u, a company that produces and sells its coffee as sustainably as possible, gave a speech. I personally don’t drink coffee, but the very idea of giving people a discount on their purchases if they bring their own cup seems great to me and I hope that more businesses will take a cue from them.
I am very happy and I also want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in such an interesting and stimulating conference.
